I have always been a student of the game of baseball, and since I was never really able to play well (think Ogilvie of Bad News Bears), statistics was super interesting to me.
The data used to create this web site all came from analyzing the event files available for download on the Retrosheet.org web site. This is not a complete history of the game, as there are some games that do not have event files created for them. However, these are mostly older games, see the Retrosheet web site for details on which games are missing from the event files.
